Backcountry carries a wide range of rifles, shotguns, and handguns and boasts one of the largest firearm displays in Western Canada. So whether you need a new rifle for that next big hunting trip or you want to introduce a young person to the sport of shooting, we’re sure to have the right caliber or gauge for you.
We also have an extraordinary selection of factory loaded ammunition or if you enjoy reloading your own, we carry a variety of reloading components to keep you busy at your reloading bench.
Purchase of firearms and ammunition currently requires a valid Firearms Possession and Acquisition License (PAL). PAL’s do expire so be sure to check yours often to make sure you get it renewed before it expires.
Don’t have a PAL? Go to the Canadian Firearms Centre website for all the details on getting one. We often receive a list of course dates from one of the local firearms safety course instructors so stop by the store or check out our Calendar of Events to see when and where the next firearms safety course is being held.
Hunting licenses expire on March 31st each year so be sure to come in early and get your new license and pick up a copy of the most current hunting and trapping regulations.
